Bringing Burning Man Home

Bringing Burning Man home does not mean the several layers of playa dust that coat every single thing you own, a pair of boots that you will forever call your “burner boots”, or the dozen of well crafted gifts that you received for just being awesome. Bringing Burning Man home means something much more than that. When I told people I was going to Burning Man for the first time the usual comment I would get was “prepare to have your mind blown!” Well I was prepared… maybe even too prepared for my first burn. I have way too many…

Bound for Burning Man

I’m finally doing it. I’ve talked about going for years and I’m finally making 2014 the year that I get to experience this magical place called Burning Man. It’s on My List of things I’d like to do in this life time and I’m really excited to be making it happen. I have to tell you though it’s been a lot of work getting ready for this trip. If you are unfamiliar with what Burning Man is, think Mad Max and a scene from a post apocalyptic movie. You are in a desert for a week with extreme heat during…

What I’m Loving From Around the Web

Hey all!!! I’m just sitting here enjoying the beautiful weather of St. Tropez France! Besides teaching Yoga and doing some personal training sessions, I get a lot of time to relax by the pool (and eat). I’ve finally had a chance to catch up on other peoples blog posts that I have been wanting to read, doing research and a little online shopping. I’ve come across some things that I loved and want to share… It really inspires me when someone goes after what they believe in. This guy gets it. Help him reach his goal. 12 Things I Loved Most About Rome

1. Coffee: Let’s face it. Italy has the best coffee. I drank at least three cafe latte’s a day. Three!!! And that was me holding back. I found out that one of my favorite coffee spots in Rome actually ships their beans to a cafe in San Diego! Now I know where to get a good cup of espresso when I need one. Where to go: Ciampini and/or sant’Eustachio il Caffe 2….

How to Road Trip with Your Dog

I love my dogs. I love road trips. My dogs + road trips = happiest girl in the world. But it’s not like I can throw my dogs into an over the shoulder bag and roam the countryside. I’ve got two 70 pound balls of pure fluff. Some would think it’s not the easiest to road trip with my crazy mutts but with a little preparation, road tripping with my (your) dog/s (of any size) is a breeze. I’ve had my dogs sense they were teeny tiny pups and they have been driving around in my car for about the length of…

The Grandest Canyon of Them All

The Grand Canyon really blows my mind. It’s one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, you can see it from space, forms 277 river miles long, up to 18 miles wide and is a mile deep. Standing at it’s edge, I feel like my mind can’t even comprehend it’s vastness. Standing there staring out, once my eyes get to a certain point it just looks like a back drop, like it’s not even real. We were at the Grand Canyon for two nights and apparently the busiest week of the year. Not only was is spring break for…
