No Bake Coconut Peanut Butter Hearts

Looking for a delicious, quick and healthy Valentine’s treat? I’ve got you covered. Really you can make these any time of the year… you don’t have to shape them into hearts. ūüôā I originally found the¬†recipe from allrecipes.com and have adapted it to suit my likings. Maybe you’ll like them too.

These satisfying¬†treats are perfect for when you are craving something sweet, except these won’t give you the guilt. If you choose to use the protein option they become a great protein snack for after workouts. Kids love them, boyfriends love them and mom’s love them. Share the love but make sure to save some for yourself!

No Bake Coconut Peanut Butter Hearts // The Wellness Doer

Ingredients:

1/2 cup natural chunky unsalted peanut butter (can also use cashew or almond butter)
1/4 cup coconut flour (can also use vanilla protein powder)
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
1/3 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup shelled hemp seeds
1/4 cup honey
1 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Optional: extra coconut shreds to cover the hearts, pink and white sprinkles, melting chocolate (for drizzle).

Preparation:

1. Compine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Connect with your food and use your hands to mix thoroughly.

2. Shape the mixture into 1 (or 1 1/2 depending on how big you want them) balls. Flatten with hand and shape into hearts.

3. Place shredded coconut and sprinkles in a shallow dish. Cover each heart with mixture. Place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet. Chill before serving and store in the refrigerator.
