Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

Hello all you beautiful people. 2012 is only a few hours away… I’m in South Lake Tahoe for a nice three day music festival (ok… it’s a little crazy but definitely fun). As I sit and wait around for our New Years Eve festivities to begin I can’t help to think back at 2011. My year was freaking insane. If you would of asked me this time a year ago I would have never imagined doing anything that I did in 2011. Traveling to four countries in Europe, a spontaneous trip to Bali, two road trips, living in an awesome house, finding the man of my dreams, numerous music festivals and shows, befriending my all time favorite DJ (not mentioning his name), heartache, true love, new friends, family gatherings, personal growth and so so so much more. I can’t even imagine what 2012 is going to bring.

I know that a lot of us may look back and think of what could have been better, or what we wished we could of done or not done… but that is not what we are here to do. We are given a beautiful gift of life and we have an amazing place to experience it. If you do have any regrets from 2011 acknowledge them and let them go. Make a promise to yourself to create the life you want in 2012. No one wants to look back on regret. Times are changing whether you see it or not. Things are shifting. Fulfilling your dreams is possible. So take this time to look back into this past year and find all the things to be grateful for – write them down if you have to. Let that list be the fuel for your next year, build on the positive.

Everyday we have tons of things to be thankful for… even on our bad days (although we are responsible for our own reality so I guess that would mean we create the bad days right?). Make a new years resolution to find things to be grateful for everyday and in every situation. You’ll be amazed at the shift it makes. I wouldn’t be sharing this with you if I had not done it myself. For most of you out there reading this I don’t know you, but I care about you and want you to live an amazing life and that’s why I share all of this.

Anyhow… wishing you all a fabulous New Year. I’ll be posting more on my trip to Tahoe (and my new love) in the upcoming week but for now I’ll leave you with a couple shots from our hike this morning. Much love to you all…
