Master Cleanse Day 2: Everyone Has Something to Say

This post is a follow up to a previous post. If you are just now reading this you might want to start with the first post.

lemons-are-good

Only day 2 and I’m feeling great! My energy levels are up and still no hunger pains. We drank laxative tea last night to help things along and we will try the salt water flush this weekend… maybe… don’t want to be in the middle of work and need to run to the bathroom. I also walked the dogs this morning and did a little workout in the afternood. I felt great… just made sure to sip the drink mix throughout. Oh… and I did take a little half hour nap. So… so far still so good.

At this point if we end up quitting the cleanse early it will because of the cost per day is a lot higher than I expected, especially because there is two of us doing it and because it makes out teeth hurt. Even rinsing with water after every drink and brushing… no bueno.

Every person I talk to about it has something to say. Some good, some bad. Usually I find that people who haven’t tried it ask the questions like, “what about protein”, “that’s all you are going to be consuming”, “is that safe”. I take what they are saying with a grain of salt. I’ve done my research, I know what I’m getting myself into. I don’t really know the answers yet, because I have never done this before. I guess I’ll know when I’m done. Besides, I’m a personal trainer, people ask me all the time about the Master Cleanse, it’s about time I give it a try.

The people that I have spoke to that have tried it have said basiclly two things; that they quit after 3-4 days because they were hungry or they did all 10-14 days and loved it. I want to be one of those people who loved it. Jonathan on the other hand, the people he has talked to have hated it mostly. So who knows what we will do.

I believe in holistic health and healing. I’m in the business of making people feel better. I feel that some type of cleansing is something that everyone should experience. Our digestive systems need a break every once in awhile. If you haven’t noticed our food here in America isn’t the greatest… processed, GMO’s, pesticides, etc. Even if you are eating organic, local, vegetarian, you still can’t be 100% sure that everything is functioning as it should be in your gut. Every body needs a break.

Maple Syrup

So if you decide to do it, make sure to do your research. You want to feel confidant going into it or you may be easily influenced or fearful. Also check your budget. Lemons, cayenne pepper.. cheap, maple syrup on the other hand can cost you anywhere from $20 and up. Between the two of us we use about a large jar for 3 gallons of mix.

Alright folks… it’s time for me to drink some laxative tea… yipee! Chat with ya tomorrow and fill you in on how it’s going… or not… đŸ™‚

Thanks for reading. Much love.
