6 Things I Wish My Yoga Teacher Would Have Told Me

Have you ever taken a Yoga class and found yourself having a hard time keeping up, breathing, or maybe even left feeling a little defeated? I’m here to tell you that that is all ok, but I might have something that can help you. I’ve been practicing Yoga for almost 20 years, but just recently have been teaching for almost the last two years. In my teaching I have found myself saying things to my students that I wish my teachers would have told me when I was first was new to Yoga. Yoga is beautifully good for us, every…

California Adventures: 5 Must-Do’s in Joshua Tree National Park

There is no surprise that Dr. Seuss found his inspiration in Joshua Tree. When you drive into the park you feel like you just drove into a scene from one of his books. Joshua Tree is a magical place, filled with vast miles of picturesque landscapes. If you live close enough you can easily visit J-Tree in a day, but I recommend camping for a night or two. The clearness of the night sky is worth it in itself. Before you head to the park, makes sure to stop in town to get all of your supplies (like firewood). Once you…

Appartently everyone loves pancakes. Let’s face it, you can never get enough pancakes… well actually I take that back… you do reach that point of full where you immediately regret that final pancake you ate, but that’s not the point. How to Create the Best Festival Experience

It’s that time of the year again… it’s festival season! Ask any one of my friends and they will all tell you that I have everything and anything you need to create the ultimate festival going experience. You name it, I’ve most likely got it. Music, yoga, art and amazing people gathering together to have a memorable time. Fast forward to present time and I’ve got more…

25 Ways to Radically Love Yourself Right Now

When February rolls around we put a lot of attention on to others, and that’s great, but what about yourself? Giving to others is a form of self love because what you give you receive, but what is it like to truly be wildly in love with ourselves? Not in the egotistical kind of way but in a way that is unbound and free of others expectations (even our own), to live bearing our hearts and souls, and to tell our fears to fuck off. This Valentine’s Day, and so on, give yourself the gift of self love. 1. Let go. There is…

A Love Affair with Coffee

I’ve decided that I’m never going to give up coffee. Coffee is romantically luring. I like it strong, sweet, with a small hint of spice and topped with a mound of whipped cream. Whipped cream just goes so well with coffee, like a good, hardy ginger beer goes with whiskey or ample foreplay before sex. I could forever eat a diet free of sugar, processed carbs, and meat but I want my coffee. If coffee is my only vice then I’ll take it. If whipped cream is my only sugar, then so be it. For me the moments between sips…
