Simple Pleasure #21: Sunset Cliffs
Ahhhh Sunset Cliffs. This is what I think of when I think about San Diego. There is a reason that the main road that takes you through Ocean Beach is named after one of the most beautiful places in SD… and it happens to be just down the street from me. It’s called Sunset Cliffs… why?… well.. because it’s cliffs that face the sunset. If you take Sunset Cliffs road allllll the way down, you get to a point to where it ends. There you will find Sunset Cliffs Natural Park that has a bunch of trails to explore and ways to get down to the beach below.
You will find surfers there every day all day long, lots of happy dogs, teenagers on first dates (adorable), pelicans, caves, these weird pink bubblely flowers things and if you go at the right time on a clear day… the sunset. I was not so lucky capturing the sunset on this day but I did have a couple of very happy dogs with me that could of cared less that June gloom had joined us.
I get to go to the Cliffs at least once a week. It’s fun for the dogs, it’s fun for me, we are outside, it’s a big win all around. This time I brought my camera and took as many pics as I could. Here are some of the best…
