How to Create the Best Festival Experience

It’s that time of the year again… it’s festival season! Ask any one of my friends and they will all tell you that I have everything and anything you need to create the ultimate festival going experience. You name it, I’ve most likely got it. Simple Pleasure #60: Farmer's Markets

I Love, Love, Love farmer’s markets!!! Fresh produce, friendly faces, free samples, live music, dancing kids, art, … really just can’t get any better. Every Sunday I head to my local market and get my produce for the week. How great is it to know you are supporting local farms and organic agriculture? Sometimes they have better deals than the stores because they come straight from the farm… my favorite is the free samples. Free samples of everything! Simple Pleasure #10: Peace Pies

Doesn’t this look delicious…??? Guess what it is made of? All raw ingredients. Yep, nothing is cooked, it’s vegan, gluten free, soy free and amazingly yummy. It comes from a cute little place in Ocean Beach called Peace Pies and I happen to live right across the street. I’m completely addicted to their green smoothie – which I’m not quite sure what’s in it – but oh so yummy. They offer all sorts of raw juices including kombucha (simple pleasure #37) and hemp mylk.
