California Adventures: Camping at Lopez Lake

After spending a week in the desert for Burning Man I was in need of a much needed trip to a place that housed trees. One of my favorite places to camp in California is at Lopez Lake, which is nestled in the hills and mountains about 10 miles south of San Luis Obispo. I’ve camped there twice before, first time was on my solo road trip and the second was on my way to Lightning in a Bottle. It’s a great place to visit if you have dogs and/or kids, or just if you are just wanting some time in nature….

3 Must Do Hikes in San Diego

Hi folks. I know many of you that follow this blog are not from San Diego… and a lot of you are. I wanted to post about some of my favorite hiking spots in San Diego. There are tons of little hiking adventures you can do around here. I’ll share with you three of my favorite… Daley Ranch, Iron Mountain and Mt.
