There is no surprise that Dr. Seuss found his inspiration in Joshua Tree. When you drive into the park you feel like you just drove into a scene from one of his books. After spending a week in the desert for Burning Man I was in need of a much needed trip to a place that housed trees. One of my favorite places to camp in California is at Lopez Lake, which is nestled in the hills and mountains about 10 miles south of San Luis Obispo.
